On October 10, 2023, an exclusive awareness session on early detection of breast cancer was organized here in close collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre Peshawar. The session was attended by female faculty and students of the Northwest Institute of Health Sciences.
Dr. Fatima Khan, subject specialist on breast cancer, SKMCH&RC conducted an informative session before the audience. She highlighted the importance of self-examination, understanding and recognizing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and the advantages of early detection.
Senior faculty including Dr. Kashmala Zia and Ms. Anum Ayub facilitated the team of SKMCH&RC and provided the best arrangement for the session.
Later on, Mr. Afsar Khan, Chief Operating Officer NWIHS and Principal Dr. Subhan-u-Rehman appreciated and paid thanks to the team of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre Peshawar for their valuable role and collaboration in this regard.
