Northwest Institute of Health Sciences arranged Research Defense session for the students of Radiology department batch 5th (2018-2022). There were 4 research groups of the Radiology undergraduate students who presented and defended their proposed researches. Two of them get accepted with minor changes and two were rejected/changed by the IRB members.
The session was chaired by Dr. Shafiq Wazir, Ph.D. (Chairman IRB NWIHS), Dr Danish Ali Khan Ph.D. (Director NWIHS), Mr. Rahman Ud Din (HOD Radiology), Dr. Aamir Ali Khan (MLT), Mr. Saddam Hussain (Anesthesia) and Ms. Aamna Bilal (Coordinator Batch 2018-2022). Moreover, the defense was also attended by BS Anesthesia and BS MLT final year students.
The main purpose of the defense was to improve the research quality and centralized research happening at NWIHS.
Dr. Shafiq Wazir and Dr. Danish Ali Khan thoroughly reviewed the groups research, with mutual consensus leading to the approval, changes or rejection was performed.
Mr. Rahman Ud Din paid special thanks to Mr. Afsar Khan, Chief Operating Officer NWIHS, Dr. Danish Ali Khan, Director NWIHS and Dr. Shafiq Wazir IRB chairman for their continuous and sincere support in promoting academic and research work in the institution.
