Northwest Institute of Health Sciences (NWIHS) Welcomes DPT Fall 2024 Students with an Orientation Day

The Department of Physical Therapy at Northwest Institute of Health Sciences (NWIHS) organized a comprehensive orientation day for the incoming DPT Fall 2024 students. The event aimed to familiarize students with the institute’s facilities, faculty, and academic programs.

Dr. Uzair Ahmad, HOD/Assistant Professor of DPT, warmly welcomed the participants and set the tone for the day’s events. Various faculty members delivered engaging presentations about NWIHS, providing an overview of the institute’s history, mission, and values. The presentations also covered the introduction and history of physical therapy, highlighting its significance in modern healthcare.

A pivotal moment of the orientation day was the oath administration ceremony, led by Dr. Uzair Ahmad. This solemn occasion marked the students’ commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in their future careers.

Vice Principal Dr. Quratul Ain and Principal Dr. Subhan ur Rehman expressed their gratitude to the students, faculty, and staff for making the orientation day a success. Their vote of thanks acknowledged the collective efforts of the Academic Committee in organizing the event.

The orientation day also featured various engaging activities, including a plantation drive initiated by the Head of the Department. Students participated enthusiastically, planting trees and promoting environmental awareness.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where students received certificates of participation. A cake-cutting ceremony followed, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the DPT Fall 2024 students.

The Academic Committee deserves special appreciation for organizing a memorable orientation day, which has set the stage for a productive and engaging academic year.
