A one-day workshop on “Basics of PNF Techniques/Scapular Instability” was held in Northwest Institute of Health Sciences here on Saturday. The workshop was organized by Academic Committee of Physiotherapy Department NWIHS under the theme of Faculty development program.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Zardad Ibrahimi, which was attended by all faculty of physiotherapy department NWIHS. Dr. Zardad Ibrahimi shed light on the concept, research study and mechanism of PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular facilitation).
PNF is common practice for increasing range of motion. The purpose of the workshop was to study possible mechanisms and physiological changes that occur due to proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques.
