Mandate
This committee has been made to organise, encourage and assist, where necessary, programs of recreation to enhance students’ empowerment and to promote the development of an inclusive and healthy environment. Specific duties of the committee may include- Conducting various recreational activities, programs and events to meet the needs and interests of the students.
- Providing recommendations to various departments regarding operation of the Student Recreation programs
- Providing input on recreation related policies and procedures.
- To act as an arbitrator for unresolved issues on recreation related matters such as schedules, fees and charges etc
- To provide volunteer assistance to departments on special projects.
General rules of operation:
- This committee is subject to the control and direction of the Patron in chief.
- The committee is bound to abide by the established rules of the institute.
- All of the members are highly encouraged to provide their input on various activities.
- Members are required to report to the Patron or General Secretary any issue deemed to be addressed by the committee
Activities include:
- Study Tours
- Funfair
- Cultural events
- Musical events
Financial Guidelines
- In case of centralised events, the committee is responsible for generating funds required for individual events
- For this purpose, students will be made liable to pay a specific amount as fee prior to every event
- In case of departmental events, the committee will make sure to assist the HODs on financial matters

NWIHS blood donation society is an institutional based volunteer blood donation society and our Motto is to “Seek pleasure of Almighty Allah by Saving Human lives via facilitating blood donation and transfusion”. The main aim of NWIHS blood donation society is to “ensure the access to safe and sufficient supply of blood and creating acceptability & accessibility in local communities for voluntarily donation of blood”.
Governing body
The NWIHS blood donation society is an institutional based society run by Northwest institute of health sciences peshawar. The society is headed by the general secretary, members from the faculty and students. The members of the society includes:

A blood donor have to go through with the approval of one of the member or the general secretary of the society before leaving the institute for the purpose of blood donation.
TORs:
- To maintain discipline in the institute and ensure proper dress codes along with I.D. Cards of the students as per KMU policy.
- To observe the moral behavior of the students with in institution.
- To prevent the students indulging in any political activities in the campus and to be reported to the chief proctor.
- To ensure drug and tobacco smoke, free campus.
- In case of violation, reasonable penalty will be imposed on the students as per code of conduct.
- To jeep proper record if any action taken.
- Any other matter to be addressed by Proctorial Board/Chief Proctor.

AN Anti-Harassment Committee has been constituted in order to create a safe and inclusive workplace or educational environment for all individuals, free from any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying.
Objectives of Anti harassment Committee
The committee typically has the following objectives:
- Prevention: To prevent any kind of harassment or bullying in the workplace or educational institution by raising awareness and educating employees or students about harassment and how to prevent it.
- Investigation: To investigate any complaints of harassment or bullying that are brought to the committee’s attention. This includes conducting interviews with witnesses, collecting evidence, and taking appropriate action against the harasser.
- Support: To provide support to the victim of harassment or bullying, including offering counseling services, medical support, and legal assistance if necessary.
- Policy review: To regularly review the anti-harassment policy of the organization or educational institution and make necessary updates to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
- Reporting: To ensure that all incidents of harassment or bullying are reported and documented, and that appropriate action is taken against the harasser, regardless of their position within the organization.
- Training: To provide training to employees or students on how to recognize and prevent harassment and bullying, and to provide training to the members of the committee on how to investigate and handle complaints.

The Counselling Cell (Psychotherapy)
Counseling is a part of guidance, so it has also the same dimensions of scope as guidance.
Beside these, counseling as a specialized programme has some special needs also. Problems
and needs in society are not new. But today they seem to be proliferating at an unprecedented
rate. Counseling is required to solve a variety of social problems it helps students develop knowledge, skills and attitudes required for personal and academic success. It strives to foster resilience and a positive mindset in students where they feel empowered to address the challenges that they may be facing and take the initiative to help themselves.
An individual is said to have positive mental health when he is able to relate meaningfully with others and lead a fulfilling life. One purpose of counselling is to help the individual in achieving positive mental health
Improving personal effectiveness
Effective person is one who is able to control impulses, think in creative ways and has the competence to recognize, define and solve problems. The purpose of counseling is to improve personal effectiveness of students so that they can resolve their own problems.
Making Changes in attitudes and perceptions
For development change is always necessary. Counseling helps individual to make changes in their attitudes and perception.
Behavior modification
Another purpose of counseling is to help in modifying behavior. Removal of undesirable behaviour and learning desirable behaviour is considered necessary for attaining effectiveness and good adjustment.
Psychosocial education and Personal development sessions
To enhance students’ personal and professional development, interactive and activity-based sessions are conducted on topics such as self-esteem, social interaction and relationships, time management, handling stress and difficult emotions, communication skills, conflict resolution, etc. Sessions are also conducted to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma and increase familiarity with counselling services.
Individual Counseling Services
Private one-to-one counselling/psychotherapy services are available for students who may be undergoing difficult situations or mental health issues creating personal distress and/or hurdles in relationships, academics, or other areas.
Personal development Class
We have well qualified, experienced and professional team of psychologist they provide personal session and psycho educational session to students in which they try to enhanced students capabilities and potentials so that they can come up with well groomed personalities.
